There are many types of relationships in this world……dating, marriage, family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and so forth. Sometimes those relationships are good. They can even be spectacular. But sometimes they aren’t so good. They can be downright awful. You may have put your heart and soul into it but no matter what you do or how hard you try it’s still no good. It has literally sucked the life right out of you. You’ve exhausted all your efforts into the relationship and it probably won’t ever be good. When that happens you’ve experienced relationship bankruptcy and it’s best to file your Chapter 7 on it and move on.
Patience. That word was the bane of my existence for many, many years. Why? Because I had NONE. I was so far in the negative for patience it wasn’t even funny. I used to say that when they were handing out patience I didn’t even get in that line. I stood in other lines repeatedly, like the impatience line and the negative line (I kept getting back in line for this one–I have no idea why). I felt like I stood in all the wrong lines. The month of November usually brings a rush of thankful feelings to most people. I guess it’s Thanksgiving that’s behind those feelings. It’s wonderful and great that we do give our thanks on this holiday but really, we should be giving our thanks all year long instead of on just one day in late November. Continue reading
Have you ever met someone and knew right away that you were going to be good friends? I’ve had that happen only a few times in my life. When we bought our first house years ago the first neighbor to ring the doorbell and welcome us was one of those people. We’re still good friends today and I just love and adore everything about her. She has brought so much good to my life and I am so thankful and grateful for her. She’s the one who helped me the most on my spiritual journey, even though she didn’t know it till much later.
