There are some days when we feel like we just can’t go on any longer.  No matter what, we just CAN’T.  There are a thousand problems with no answers.  Some are small but some are of great magnitude.  We feel the weight of the world on our shoulders and it gets heavier by the second.  We try to lift the weight off but we can’t.  We feel defeated.  These are the days that we feel deep in our core like just giving up. Faith is defined in the dictionary as a strong belief or trust in someone or something.  It also means having a firm belief in something for which there is no proof. Faith is not something you can see.  You can’t touch it or hear it.  You can’t hold it in your hand and you can’t capture it and save it in a jar.  Faith is not tangible.  Faith is instead something that is felt inside you. There’s an old saying that goes like this; “It’s always darkest before the dawn”.   That saying can mean different things to different people. You may take it literally as in it’s really darkest just before dawn breaks.  While that may or may not be true what most people take it to mean is that it always gets worse before it gets better. For when I am weak, then I am strong

Have you ever met someone and knew right away that you were going to be good friends?  I’ve had that happen only a few times in my life. When we bought our first house years ago the first neighbor to ring the doorbell and welcome us was one of those people.  We’re still good friends today and I just love and adore everything about her.  She has brought so much good to my life and I am so thankful and grateful for her.  She’s the one who helped me the most on my spiritual journey, even though she didn’t know it till much later.   Continue reading
